Over the 37 month program schedule Apprentices will meet 10 times in a common location for 3 full days. These gatherings are called Learning and Leadership Roundtables. Continental breakfast will be provided each morning, lunches and dinners are largely up to the Apprentice. Adequate breaks are scheduled to allow time for phone calls, emails or networking. Content of the meetings will follow the Curriculum or other appropriate topics. All meetings are tastefully casual and appropriate behavior is expected. A summary format:
Sunday Arrival Optional cocktail and heavy appetizer reception that evening
Monday Meet all day
Tuesday Meet all day
Wednesday Meet all day Obligatory group banquet that evening
Thursday Departure
To the extent possible, meetings will be held in March, July and November during weeks that do not conflict with holidays and at locations likely to avoid major weather patterns. The first meeting is targeted to take place in the second half of 2023.
Real Time, Up Close, Exploratory, Confidential
In the Interim between Roundtables Apprentices will have the opportunity to travel and visit specially selected agencies, selected by the majority of the apprentices at the prior Roundtable meeting. The number of Apprentices attending each Exchange will be politely limited and rotated, but with at least two Exchange visits between each Roundtable it is likely that any Apprentice desiring to make such visits will have ample opportunity. One instructor will attend each Agency Exchange.
Those who will attend are expected to collectively organize an agenda prior to their Exchange and, upon return, prepare a candid overview of their observations and constructive conclusions. These findings will be presented to all fellow Apprentices at Wednesday night banquet during the next Roundtable. Also, at the banquet the next Exchange agencies will be selected. And the next Apprentices to complete their Exchange will be selected. Format:
Day One Travel to agency location, Apprentices dine with instructor
Day Two Meet all day with agency personnel executing agenda
Evening Two Dinner and Q&A with agency CEO
Day Three Travel home
Any individual Apprentice or any number of Apprentices needing a better understanding of topics within the Curriculum may seek and receive Phone time, Zoom time or Face Time. No one should ever believe they have been left behind. The instructors are adamant about this. Apprentices are expected to learn and have the right to demand it.
